Star Student

Young children enjoy bringing toys, dolls, books, etc. to school to share with their teachers and peers. In order to give all children an equal opportunity to share with the class, and in order to make sharing a more educationally meaningful experience, children will be allowed to bring one item from home to share during the week that they are the Star Student.

Star Students are randomly chosen and they will be given a poster on Friday to complete over the weekend.  As the Star Student, please help your child during the week with the following activities.

Monday: Share the Star Student poster.

Tuesday:  Bring a share item to class.  Please be prepared to answer the following questions about your share item.

  • Who gave it to you?
  • What is it?
  • Where did you or the person who gave it to you get it from?
  • When did you get it?
  • Why did you get it?
  • How does it work?

Wednesday:  Bring a share item to class.  Remember to be ready to answer the questions.

Thursday:  We will create an adjective bubble map in class.

Friday: Please bring a book to read to the class.

GUNS AND OTHER WEAPONS ARE NEVER ALLOWED IN SCHOOL.  DON’T FORGET TO LABEL ANY PERSONAL ITEMS THAT YOUR CHILD BRINGS FROM HOME.
